We had 65 players show up to play Colonial Country Club today and enjoyed perfect weather conditions the golf course was in pristine condition.
In Division 1 there were 10 players in the field. There were 2 players that went back and forth pretty most part of the day. Park Williams was in control of the tourney most part of the day especially after his Eagle on hole 9. Brian Hayes was right on his heels pretty much all day. Hayes stayed steady and was able to capture the win with a score 69(-2) capturing his 3 win in a row WHAT A RUN!!!. Finishing in solo 2nd was Park Williams with a score of 72(+1).
In Division 2 the solid continued. There were 9 players that broke 80. Out the those players Pedro Montoya emerged victorious with a score of 73(+2). Montoya captures his 2nd victory of the year. In 2nd place we had to settle a tiebreaker with 2 players. Hawkins and Hasen both shot 75 (+4). Winning in the scorecard playoff was Seth Hawkins. Hasen captures 3rd. Rounding out the Top 5 was Eli Villanueva and Mike Lane with a score of 76 (+5). Eli takes the scorecard playoff victory.
In Division 3 a trend was started. Today we had several players from Queen City Chapter come up and compete. All 3 prize line winners were from Queen City chapter. Terry Upright led the field with a score of 76(+5) today winning by 4 shots over solo 2nd place Mike Keffer 79(+8). Rounding out the top 3 was Kevin Stines with a score of 80(+9). In Division 4 we had 11 players compete. Keeping the trend alive Vic Lawrence from Queen city chapter wins the event by 2 shots over Timmy Smith. Lawrence shots 82 (+11) to capture the victory at Colonial Country Club. Smith shot 84(+13). Smith stumbled coming down the stretch. Lawrence was in control of his golf ball all day. Congrats gentlemen.
In Division 5 we had a familiar face win. Cal Rogers with a score of 94(+23) wins. Rogers has captured his 3rd APT victory of the year. This will go along way for the Player of the Year races. Congrats Cal!!!
