Lawrence Yacht & Country Club Results
Tour Stop #6 brought us to Lawrence Yacht and CC in Lawrence, New York. What started out as a dreary rainy day turned into a sunshine filled afternoon at this nice private club. Let's see how the players did!
Division 2: A fight to the last couple holes! Brian Gallahue(72) shot an amazing 2 over to take home first place! Joe Arnold(74) and Arabinda Benhura(74) put up a great fight but came up just short to share a tie for second and Brian Flood(76)rounded out the top four!
Division 3: Another close race here in division 3 but it was Stephen Phieffer(75) with an impressive 5 over par who claimed the victory and took home the hardware! Second place went to Brian Sapanski(78) who shot a very respectable 8 over, while Jim Ready(80) rounded out the top three!
Division 4: We had a first time champion here in division 4 as Mike Bello(83) took home his first trophy of the season! Jimmy Tubbs(86) was not far behind taking home second and sharing a split of third was Walter Stashin(87) and Mike McCloskey(87). Congrats on your first win, Mike!
Division 5: Just two strokes stood between the top 3 players in division 5! When all was said and done however, James Bekiaris(85) stood alone atop the leaderboard! Keith Papas(87) and Alan Ott(87) both gave it their all but came up just short and tied for second! Steve Mcdonald(92) rounded out the top 4!
It was a great day overall! We thank Lawrence Yacht and CC for having us at their club, we hope they enjoyed having us as much as we enjoyed being there! Thanks to all of the players who participated and we hope to see you at our next event. The Pound Ridge Invitational in Pound Ridge, New York on Tuesday June 29th 2021!
