Rumble at Raspberry Falls Golf Results


What a Windy Day and the Largest Field to Date 

76 Golfers Teed it up at Raspberry Falls on a blustery cool day and a SOLD OUT Event.  Winds were gusting to 25MPH and the chill was the theme of the day. 

In Division 1, Chris Lamb, Virginia Capital 2021 D1 Player of the Year picked up where he left off last year and captured a 3 shot victory (73/+1) over Aubrey Evans (76/+4) in the 9 Player Field.  Chris birdied 11 and Eagled 18 to secure the victory. Dave Dustin and Sean Heath tied for 3rd at 77/+5. 

In Division 2, Ronnie Carter secured the victory with a 75/+3 for a 2 shot victory over Chris Denz 77/+5 in the largest D2 Flight to date with 25 Players.  Tim Robinson, Mark Robertson and Mike Cuff tied for 3rd at 78/+6. 

Newcomer, Emmett Smith captured a one shot victory in Division 3 with a 82/+10 to win over Joe Renteria who shot 83/+11.  Josh Huntsberry finished 3rd at 84/+12. 

Brian Browning shot the lowest D4 round in Virginia Capital Record Books with an impressive 79/+7 to capture a 7 shot victory over Chuck Nimmo who posted a 86/+14.  Finishing 3rd was Tom Holecek with a 87/+15 

Defending D5 Player of the Year Jose Guerra opened the season with a victory by posting a 94/+22 to win by one shot over a trio of players.  Tying for 2nd was Mike Jones, Kyle Carsten and Darrell Wade who all posted a 95/+23. 

In Senior Net, Buzz Buzinski and Carson McHale tied at 71/-1 with McHale capturing the trophy by match of cards playoff.  Tim Robinson, Chuck Nimmo and Patrick Cronin tied for 3rd with an 72/E for the day.
