Cateechee Golf Club Tournament Results

The Upstate SC Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour kicked off the 2023 season at Cateechee GC in Hartwell, GA. The sun decided not to show and the temperature only being 60 degrees, made the difficult course play even harder. A big thanks to Shannon and his staff at Cateechee GC.   

In Division 1, Greg Moore (Greer, SC) went wire to wire the entire day to end up winning. Led by his birdies at holes #2, #3 and #8 on the front nine, Greg was able to shoot a 6-over 78 to capture first place. DJ Freese (Abbeville, SC) finished in second with an 83.

In Division 2, Bobby Ream (Greenville, SC) finished the round strong with an eagle on 17 and a birdie on 18. His 1-over 72 gave him a 3 shot victory. Finishing in second place was Carlos Mojica (Glenville, NC) with an impressive 76.

In Division 3, it was a tight finish at the top as only 3 strokes separated first and third place. Mary Graham Forrest (Shelby, NC) won her first tournament with a very impressive round of 80. Finishing second was Nolan Humphries (Easley, SC) with an 82. Mark Stroupe (Salem, SC) took home third with an 84.

In Division 4, new tour member Darrell Arledge (Duncan, SC) was able to hold onto his lead late and capture the championship with a 95. Finishing in second place was Kip Moore (Rockmart, GA) with a 97.

In Division 5, It was a 2-person race to the finish. Bobby Lewis (Asheville, NC) was able to hold off AJ Greer (Inman, SC) to capture the championship. Bobby fired a 98 to win by 2.

In Senior Net, Mark Stroupe (Salem, SC) fired a 74 to win the championship. Travis Blackwell (Lyman, SC) finished with a 78 to capture second place.
