Aberdeen Senior Golf Tournament Results


Last week, the Amateur Players Tour competed at Aberdeen Golf Course in Eureka, MO. Aberdeen Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 72, links style golf course. The unique layout features undulating zoysia and native grass terrain, sod wall bunkering, 2 lakes, and bentgrass greens against a picturesque backdrop of the Meramec River bluffs. 

In Division 1, Kevin Erxleben chalked up his fourth first place finish shooting two under-par 70. Steve Hasenfratz had a great day with 5 birdies to finish one under-par 71 to take home second place. Greg Lewis of O’fallon, MO and John Todd of Wright City, MO both shot even-par 70 to tie for 3rd. 

Division 1 Results:  

  1. Kevin Erxleben: -2 – 70  
  1. Steve Hasenfratz: -1 - 71 
  1. John Todd: E - 72

In Division 2, Gary Hutchcraft and Lance Davidson came out hot both shooting even-par 72 on the day. Hutchcraft was able to take down Davidson in the playoff to take home first place. Billy Davis put the pressure on them all day, but just came up short shooting one over-par 73 to take home 3rd place.

  1. Lance Davidson: E – 72 (Playoff) 
  1. Billy Davis: +1 - 73 

In Division 3, Jason Christopher took home his first victory of the 2023 season. Jason shot four over-par 76 on the day. Jason Stone of St. Peters, MO and Mark Paul of Imperial, MO both finished nine over-par 81 on the day. 

Division 3 Results:  

  1. Jason Christopher: +4 – 76 

T2. Jason Stone: +9 – 81 

T2. Mark Paul: +9 - 81  

In Division 4, Mike Scalera came out playing as steady as ever hitting every single fairway. Mike shot six over-par 78 to take home another first-place finish. Ralph Allen had a good round shooting nine over-par 81 on the day. Steve Middendorf of Belleville, IL shot 10 over-par 82 to take home a third-place finish.  

Division 4 Results: 

  1. Mike Scalera: +6 – 78 
  1. Ralph Allen: +9 – 81 
  1. Steve Middendorf: +10 - 82 

In Division 5, Tony Brose came out swinging! Tony shot eighteen over- par 90 to take home another 1st place finish. Mike Pittroff, Jim Seibert, Byron Whitlock, and Chris Brockmeyer all tied for second shooting twenty-five over par 97 on the day. 

Division 5 Results: 

  1. Tony Brose: +18 – 90 

T2. Mike Pittroff: +25 - 97 

T2. Byron Whitlock: +25 – 97 

T2. Jim Seibert: +25 – 97 

T2. Chris Brockmeyer: +25 - 97 

 Next up on the Amateur Players Tour St. Louis Schedule, Annbriar Golf Course for the tour championship. This will be a double dip event and we will payout over $15,000 in prizes
