There were 50 players competing at Colonial Country Club. The weather was very windy and cloudy before the storms come rolling in. Here’s a recap of the winners and their scores in each division:
Division 1: 1st place – Tim Barto carded the low round of the day with 69(-2) to win the event. The runner was Kyle Moffett with a score of 74(+3). The senior division was won by Mark Macejko with a score of 75(+4).
Division 2: In Division 2, there was a playoff between Travis Warluft and Ron Lambert with scores of 76(+5). The players headed back on the score for a sudden death playoff in what was won by Ron Lambert making par on the first hole. In 3rd place was Mike Mullins with a score of 77(+6). The Senior Division was split by Lambert and Warluft.
Division 3: 1st place – Duane Fisher secures the victory by 4 shots with a score of 82(+11). The runner up was secured by Mac McMillan 86(+15) and rounding out the top 3 is Jason Smith with a score of 87(+16). The Senior Division was won by Mac McMillan.
Division 4: 1st place – Cedric Price secured the 2 shot victory with a score 86(+15). The score was good for a true Senior Double Dip winner.
Division 5: 1st place – Keith Thomas with a score of 94 (+23) was good enough to win the open and secure the victory for Senior Double Dip title as well.
We are at the midway point of the season and the remaining tournaments are great opportunities to pick POY points.
