The second of the Nashville Chapter’s fall events took place at Champions Run in Rockvale.  The course, which has gone through many changes this golf season, was in great test for the players with newly, restored greens.  The weather was spectacular for late October with temperatures in the low-80s and plenty of  sunshine.  The players competed under a Stableford format where points were awarded for how the player scored on the hole.  The point system was: 7 points for eagle, 4 points for birdie, 2 points for par, 1 point for bogey, 0 points for double-bogey and -1 point for triple bogey and higher. Over $6,000 in prizes were up for grabs.

In Division 1, Atlanta Chapter member, Nathan Frazier from Lookout Mountain, GA, closed out his round with ten straight pars to capture the win by 1 point over two others, Neil Master from Nashville and Zac Messer from Lascassas.  Frazier finished with 34 points while Master and Messer finished with 33.

In Division 2, Micheal Lynn from Murfreesboro makes it back-to-back wins in the Stableford at Champions Run. Lynn, who won the tournament in Division 3 last season, scored 37 points and wins by 2 points over Jack Liszewski of Nashville. Dan Estes from Lebanon finishes in 3rd place with a point total of 33.

In Division 3, Alex Richardson from Dickson and Jeff Hudgins from Smyrna were able to know where they stood in the standings all round as they were paired together. Both players had 3 birdies each, but it was Richardson (34 points) that prevailed to win by 3 points over Hudgins (31 points). Local chapter co-owner, Chris Guthrie from Brentwood squeaks out a 3rd place finish with 27 points.

In Division 4, Bruce Gordon from Franklin consistent point totals on the front (13) and the back (15) lead him to victory.  Gordon finished with 28 points and bested 2nd place finisher, Jason Bucher from Paris, by 5 points.

In Division 5, Thurman Boyd from Smyrna closed out his round with 6 points over his last 3 holes to leapfrog Aaron Baggett to win 1st place.  Boyd finished with 23 points and Baggett with 21. Chris Mayor from Smyrna takes the 3rd place prize finishing with 19 points.

In Open Net, Aaron Baggett from Bon Aqua wins with the NET total of 45 points beating Josh McPherson from Burns by 3 points.

In Senior Net, a late round surge by Thurman Boyd from Smyrna propelled him to a NET total of 45 points to snag the win over James Newkirk from Brentwood, who finished with a NET total of 44 points.  Taking 3rd place was local chapter co-owner, Chris Guthrie from Brentwood with a NET point total of 42.
