2024 Countryside Prairie

On a day that epitomized Chicago’s autumn weather, APT Chicago traveled to Countryside Golf Club’s Prairie Course on October 21, 2023. The crisp air and changing conditions set the stage for a memorable tournament, showcasing a blend of skill and determination among the participating golfers. 

 In the top tier, Eric Stevenson from Hawthorn Woods, IL, claimed the Championship title with a score of +5. Close on his heels was Nathan Rego of West Bend, WI, who secured 2nd Place with a score of +7. Both golfers demonstrated remarkable talent and composure under pressure. 

 The competition was intense in Division 2, where John Mauck from Lombard, IL, emerged as the Champion, finishing at +4. In a nail-biting finish, John Gollwitzer of Long Grove, IL, clinched 2nd Place with a score of +5. 

 Stanley Mitchell of Naperville, IL, dominated Division 3, winning the Championship with a score of +14. His performance was a testament to his skill and strategic play, navigating the course with remarkable precision. 

 In Division 4, it was James Smith of St. Charles, IL, who took home the Championship title with a score of +17. Following closely was Drew Ptak of Elmhurst, IL, who earned 2nd Place with a score of +18. 

 The battle in Division 5 saw Eric Cole from Cary, IL, rise to the occasion, securing the Championship with a score of +21. Troy Jackson of Olympia Fields, IL, claimed 2nd Place with a score of +25, capping off an impressive late performance. 

 Players spent the day adapting to the challenging course and weather conditions. The event not only highlighted the skill levels across different divisions but also the camaraderie and sportsmanship inherent in the APT Chicago Chapter.
