A Rain, Sleet, Hail, Snow Battled Event
The elements didn’t stop fifty-six players from competing against the course and mother nature at The Trophy Club. The elements included periods of rain, sleet, hail, snow, and don’t forget the wind. That didn’t stop Barney Sutley from holding off Jeremey Hite by one stroke. Sutley shot a smooth 80 followed by Hite’s 81 to take home the Division 1 trophy. Newcomer to the tour Aaron Steinhart held off both Chris Harris and Benjamin Heinking by one shot. Steinhart carded an 83 followed by Harris and Heinking’s 84. Running away from the field in Division 3 was tour veteran Randall Burton. Burton scored an 82 followed by Kevin Hastings and Andy Patton’s 88. David Truex’s 90 led the way in Division 4. David was chased by Aaron Ooley who carded a 99. Fighting off David Beshears and Steven Smith, Randy Cox took home the trophy in Division 5. Cox carded a 97 with Beshears and Smith shooting 100. Kevin Hastings carded two under 70 to take home Senior Net.
