2023 CC of Arkansas Golf Tournament Results

The Arkansas chapter of the Amateur Players Tour held its first two-day event of the season at The Country Club of Arkansas. 27 players from across the APT network showed up to battle it out In Maumelle AR. On Day One, we would have great weather conditions with sunshine and blue skies which provided us with some great scores. With overnight rain on Saturday evening, we would face much tougher conditions on Sunday with cooler weather and cloudy skies. It made the conditions very tough. In great fashion, the players adjusted quickly to the adverse conditions and posted some great scores. 

In Division 2: 

After round one, Kendall Price and LR Gardner would find themselves in a tie for 1st place. Both posting a day one scores of 79. As Tim Fuemmeler was just lurking two shots back. On Day 2, It was Kendall Price’s Day with the driver as he only missed one fairway. Kendall Price would go on to post a Two day total of 156 to overtake LR Gardner who posted a Two day total of 163 and Tim Fuemmeler would end up in 3rd place, posting a two day total of 167. 

In Division 3:  

After Day One Elisha Payne would find himself sitting in first place, two shots in front of Kenneth Taylor. Kenneth making his way back from knee surgery, with Brian Buchanan lurking in 3rd place. On day two Kenneth would try to make a charge, but he just couldn’t quite catch Elisha, as Elisha posted a two day total of 164 to take first place over Kenneth Taylor, finishing in second place, posting a two day total score of 170 and Brian Buchanan taking 3rd place, posting a two day total of 173. 

In Division 4. 

After round one Jeff Corder and Rob Luter would find themselves tied for first place, both posting an 84. As Leisa Watkins posted a score of 88 and was sitting in 3rd place looking to make her come back. Leisa fought hard to make that comeback, but fell short, as Jeff Corder would post a two-day total of 171 to take first place. And Lisa Watkins would post a two-day total of 174 to finish in second place, as Rob Luter would post a two-day total score of 175 to finish in 3rd place. 

In Division 5: 

After round one, Trey Horrell would find himself sitting in first place, shooting a score of 96 as Chad Hatfield, Mike Kelly and Larry Burrow would find themselves in a 3-way tie for 2nd place, all posting a score of 98. Day two was ultimately Trey Horrell’s day as well, as Chad Hatfield fell one shot short to Trey. Trey Horrell would go on to post a two-day total of 192 to take first place, as Chad Hatfield would take second place posting a two-day total of 193. And Jim Haslauer would go on to take third place posting a two-day total of 194.  

In the Senior Net: 

Kenneth Taylor Would capture his first win Just months after knee surgery. Kenneth Taylor would take first place shooting a two-day total net score of 150. LR Gardner And Jeff Corder would tie for second place both Posting a two-day net total score of 151. Lisa Watkins would take 4th place shooting a two-day net score of 152. Rob Luter would finish in 5th place posting a two-day total net score of 153.
