2023 Annbriar Golf Tournament Results

On Sunday, April 23, 2023 the St. Louis Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour held a tournament at the iconic Annbriar Golf Club in Waterloo, IL.  Players enjoyed decent weather and were able to play on a course in fantastic condition. And, of course, the Annbriar staff were attentive to every detail to welcome the Amateur Players Tour members.

In Division 1, Nate McCutcheon shot a fine round of 78 edging out both John Todd and Michael Flynn, both finishing one stroke back at 79.  Blake Heimburger shot an 80 to finish in 4^th place.  For Senior honors in Division 1, Kevin Erxleben and John Todd tied in regulation with scores of 79.  The match winner was decided on the second playoff hole when Kevin Erxleben made a par on hole #2.

Division 2 found Lance Davidson earned first place honors on both leaderboards shooting an excellent score of 76.  Throughout the round, Marco Tallerico and Todd Wilson chased Lance but finished  just short, tied at 79.  Chad Henry, Mark Lamoreaux, and David Adams who all finished at 80 in a tie for 4^th place.  In the Senior contest, Mark Lamoreaux and Dave Adams both shot scores of 80 earning them a tie for second place.

Todd Feurhaken also won a “double-dip” in Division 3 scoring a nice round of 78.  Dave Verhulst and Simay Souvannarath finished in a tie for second place with scores one stroke off the leader at 79.  Seniors Mark Lamoreaux and Dave Adams finished just two shots off the pace with scores of 80.

In Division 4, Paul Spotanski also found a double-dip victory shooting a 12 over par round of 84.  Second place honors were shared by Derek Limback and Michael Scoles who both carded rounds of 85, just one shot behind the leader.  Shannon Brooks and Rei Nakamura finished in a tie for 4^th place with scores of 86.  Second place in Division 4 Seniors went to Michael Scoles with a round of 85 followed by Shannon Brooks who shot an 86.

In Division 5, Jeremiah Accola and Chris Brockmeyer tied after 18 holes with scores of 89.  As Chris was not available to participate in an on-course playoff, Jeremiah Accola was recognized as the overall winner.  Daufus Jackson and Stevie Frank finished just back of the leaders with scores of 91 and 92 respectfully.  In the Senior Contest, Chris Brockmeyer got the win with his 89 followed by Tony Brose who shot 95.  Byron Whitlock and Jim Seibert finished in a tie for third place at 96.
