Windstone Golf Club Tournament Results

Div 1- 18 holes were not enough to provide a winner. Matt Crowder carded 4 birdies in route to a +6, 78. When Crowder finished, he held a 1-shot lead over Russell Cook who still had 1 hole to play. Cook managed to birdie it and force the two-man playoff. Cook found the fairway on the tight 1st hole which put him in the driver seat as Crowder’s drive was found out of bounds. Cook went on to par the hole and secure the victory.

Div 2- John Bradshaw made a double bogey on his 1st hole of the day. The next 17 holes would go a lot better for him. Bradshaw managed to put the early blemish behind him and played the reminder of the round even par. Bradshaw’s 74 was three better than TN East vet, Johhny Pierce. Birmingham’s Terry Szymczyk shot the only other sub 80 round as he managed solo 3rd with a 78.

Div 3- When the dust settled, there were two familiar faces at the top of the board battling it out for the win. Birmingham director, Russ Donaldson and TN East vet, Randy Redden were neck and neck for the entirety of the afternoon. In the end, it was Donaldson who ended up the victor shooting an 86. Redden’s 88 was 3 strokes better than Paul Harris who ended up 3rd.

Div 4- Daniel England made 3 pars and 1 birdie in his first 5 holes. He used the fast start to pull away from the rest of the field as he managed to win by 7 strokes. Scott Heath and Sammy Sedman tied for 2nd with dueling 95s.

Div 5- Perry Schilling had come close to getting in the winner’s circle several times in 2022. Finally, it was his day at Windstone as he shot 94, two better than Chip Kirkland. Michael Ridge Sr finished in 3rd shooting a 100.
