The week after The Masters, The Aiken Golf Club welcomed Amateur Players Tour members and guests to Aiken, SC. The weather was a little inclement at first which lead to an hour rain delay, but the rain softened the course and some great scores were shot. There were several first time participants and first time winners on the APT at this event!
In Division 1, Brian Quackenbush from Aiken, SC shot -1 (69) earning
his first APT win this year. Congratulations Brian!
In Division 2 from West Columbia, SC Todd Lindsey shot +4 (74) earning his second win of the year. Congratulations on a great win Todd!
In Division 3 from Aiken, SC Curry Franklin shot +5 (75) to win by four shots over David Biggs from Evans, GA. Great playing guys! This is Curry’s first win on the APT!
In Division 4 from North Augusta, SC Brandon Williams shot a smooth +7 (77) Brandon’s round included four birdies and an eagle.
In Division 5 from Appling, GA Russell Loyd won his first APT event of the year by shooting +16 (86). Paul Davis from Aiken, SC shot +18 (86). Way to go Russell!
