A great time was had by all who competed this past weekend in our preseason Rose Bowl Fourball at Brookside #1! The weather started out cool but warmed up nicely throughout the day with little wind- custom made for good scoring. Players went out and got it on the venerable, nearly 100 year old layout.

Felix Monjes steadily improved in his first year on Tour, culminating in a Player of the Year title in Northern California, a top 20 finish in the North American Championships at Pinehurst, and a promotion to Division 4 for 2022. He and Ron Yim made the trip down to Los Angeles a winning one, outright on the net side- carding 13 net birdies versus no bogeys for a net 59! Ron carried the load on the gross side as medalist with a 76. The pair captured the Net Division title by four over new players Matt Parker and Devon Denholm, who posted an excellent 63.

On the Gross Division side, Monjes/Yim put down an even par 36 on the front to lead the teams of Justin Chandraputra/Mark Lytle and Scott Christensen/Troy Shedeed by two. Scott and Troy were randomly paired by they played like seasoned partners on the back- with Troy making a 25 foot birdie on 18 to tie Monjes/Yim at +3 on the day to claim the victory on tiebreaker! Each team received two custom trophies and $250 in Visa Gift Cards for their victories.
