Players sink their claws in for the RMC Playoff stretch at TalonsCove

The home stretch toward crowning the 2021 Rocky Mountain chapter Player of the Year began with Playoff Event #1 at TalonsCove on Saturday, August 8th.

Danny Meaders (71) took home his sixth event trophy of the season, besting Tyler Moore (77) and Jeff Clifford (77) by 6 shots in Division 1.

In Division 2, Jay DeJesus (79) won his second event in six days, two strokes better than runner-up Aaron Bascomb (81). Matias Tello (82) and Mike Brown tied for third place as the Division 2 standings tightened up heading to the Playoff Event #2 at Hill Air Force Base on August 22nd.

Dustin Criddle (76) is an APT champion for the first time, using a front nine EVEN par thirty-six to grow his lead and then hung-on to nip Thomas Eveland (77) by a shot. Raul Delatorre (81) and Shawn Larsen (81) tied for third place, with Larsen claiming 3rd place prize money with a better back-nine on the USGA tiebreaker (37:40).

Division 4 saw another first time winner in Blake Stevenson, who bested the nearest competitor by 9 shots in shooting a personal best 81. Terry Shaw (90) added second place points to his ledger as the Division 4 POY race comes into sharper focus.

And ANOTHER first time Champion in Deyvan Torres (88) in extremely competitive Division 5 contest. Jon Burningham (91) finished in second place. Naveen Ravindran (92) and Joshua Madden (92) tied for third place, with Madden taking the third place prize money by way of the back-nine USGA scorecard playoff; 46 to 48. In the Division 5 NET contest, Michael Waltz (68) took home his first trophy on the Amateur Players Tour.

Overall CTP winners were Shawn Larsen (14), Josh Henshaw (17), Danny Meaders (6), Tyler Moore x2 (8 & 4). Super Skins were won by Dustin Criddle, Shawn Larsen, Danny Meaders, Jeff Clifford, Peter Fong, Matt Stevenson, Shawn Johnson, and Michael Waltz!
