The Palmetto Chevrolet Invitational was held at Burning Ridge Golf Club on Saturday April 2. We had a sold-out field for this one. Thanks to Mark Scott and Palmetto Chevrolet for your partnership. 49 players began the day, and the course was amazing, and Zach and his staff were the best.
Div 1 – Brandyn Norton was the eventual winner. He had a 2-shot lead on Lee Barton heading to the very difficult par 3 17th. He slipped a little and walked off the 18th green tied with Lee. They headed straight back to the 18th tee to start the playoff. Brandyn was able to chip in for eagle on the par 5, 18th to capture the title and the $150 Visa Gift Card for the win. Congrats on your win.
Div 2 – Jeff Roberts playing in only his 4th event of the season, captured the win. He edged out Frank Censullo by 2 shots. With the win he received a $170 vgc. Frank received a $60 vgc. Joey Todd finished 3rd with Travis Wartluft rounding out the top 4.
Div 3 – There were 14 players in this division battling for the crown. Our newest member Kevin Harper edged out newly promoted Danny Hause by 1 stroke, to claim the crown. Chris Marcum playing as a guest finished 3rd. BTW he joined on Monday. Chris Minar finished 4th. With the win Kevin received a $230 vgc, Danny Hause received $75 vgc and Chris Marcum $45vgc.
Div 4 - 15 players were competing for the title. Colin Taylor playing in his first event of the 2022 season, played a career round and ran away from the field. He started out in Div 5 in 2021 and made it up to Div. 4 toward the middle of the 2021 season. Look out Div.3. With the win he received a $220 vgc. Bruce Shively finished 2nd $75 vgc, Chris Huge $40 vgc. Jamie Costanzo continued her stellar play to finish 4th and 2 shots out of the prize money.
Div 5 – Division 5 was a battle all day long. Looking at Live scoring during their play, it was back and forth all day between 4 of the 9 players. Our very own, owner of Trusted Home Services and Player of the Year Sponsor, Mr. Jeff House captured his first win of the 2022 season. Only 3 shots separated the top 4 places. Travis Shively 2nd at 95, Dave Hutchens 3rd at 96 and David Taylor 4th at 95. Jeff received a $170 vgc and Travis received a $60 vgc
