Hawks Creek Golf Club Tournament Results

The April rains were threatening to show up and make it a wet day for us, so we made it a shotgun start and balls were in the air just before 8:00 am to get ahead of the weather.  

We had great fun during this tournament, met new friends and had a guest to decide and join us in membership. Christy McCauley, member of the Carolina Triad Chapter, competed with us along with Lucky Cruz and Steven Wood from the Houston Chapter.  

In D1: We had a close race for 1st with Matthew Crowell coming in at 3 over with the lowest round of the tournament at 75. Coming in 1-stroke back for 2nd place was Lucky Cruz (Houston tour) with a 76. Taking 3rd was Andrew Morsinkhoff carding an 80.  

In D2: We only had a 4-stroke difference between the top 4 players. Raymond Dawson came in 1st place with a 78 over 2nd place winner, Matthew Jones who had a 79 and 3rd was taken by guest, Ray Smith with an even 80. 

In D3: Winning for the second day in a row, Ryan Agnew who won his division on Saturday in Houston came home to win on Sunday with an 82. 2nd Place, Bobby Hart had an 83 and 3rd Place, Mike Cox, came in with an 85. 

In D4: Jeffrey Sterling playing in his second local event again took 1st place with a 79. Mike Burgin carded an 85 to take 2nd place while Brian Downe had an 86 for 3rd place. 

In D5: JD Danilowicz maintained his position as the clubhouse leader and took 1st place with a score of 90 over 2nd place finisher, Jason Bailey who scored a 92. Coming in 3rd was Michael Becker who had a final score of 95. 

Senior Net: 1st – JD Danilowicz, 2nd – Jeffrey Sterling, and 3rd – Bobby Hart 

Close to the Pins:  #4 – Jason Jenniges, #17 – Paul Turner
