Golf’s Showdown on the Mountain Results
On Sunday, the Tri-Cities/Southwest Virginia chapter had our tour stop at The SHOWDOWN ON THE MOUNTAIN AT FINCASTLE GOLF CLUB IN BLUEFIELD,VA 9/19/21. A buzz was in the air as players anxiously awaited getting the tournament underway, earning valuable points towards qualifying for the inaugural North American Championship at Pinehurst Resorts in October. A competitive field faced sunny and warm conditions, but a golf course that was in excellent shape.
In Division 1, Anthony Stout played solid all day for a +8 over par 78.
In Division 2, Todd Holmes continued his winning campaign with a solid +15 OVER PAR 85.
In Division 3, Josh Holmes continued his strong play with a +24 over par 94. Rodney Odun came up a little short today with a +33 over par 103.
In Division 4, Dylan Isaacs played a solid round at +23 over par 93.
In Division 5, Josh Hyatt took home another victory with a solid round +29 over par 99. Blake Fleenor took home second place with a round of +33 over par 103. Brandon Cook had a solid round of +38 over par 108. Crazy Ray Wilson rounded out the field with a +42 over par 112.
From here, the APT will finish with our TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP AT COUNTRY CLUB OF BRISTOL ON OCT 2 AND OCT 3. We look forward to seeing everyone for another exciting APT tournament and another chance to earn valuable points in our local Player of the Year race.
