The APT Low Country Chapter held our April Tournament at Golden Hills Golf Club in Lexington SC. The course was in good shape and was a true test for players of all divisions. I appreciate everyone that came out from Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Augusta. Thank you all for playing! A special thank you goes to Alan Reynolds for his help with sponsors and set up. The event was so much better because of your hard work and the players and I appreciate it.
Division 1 was a battle all day long between Darryl Phelps from Columbia, Eric Goodell from Aiken, and Marcus Maddox from Augusta and the Augusta chapter owner. In the end Marcus held on to shoot a solid 74 and hold off the other players to pull off the win. Eric finished in second. Great playing guys.

Division 2 was a tight contest all day between Darryl Averyhard, Todd Lindsey, and Trent Whitfield. Darryl had an unfortunate 18th hold and left the playoff to Todd and Trent. Trent made a nice birdie on the first playoff hole to deliver the WIN.

Division 3 was also a highly contested battle between Shawn Powers, Mark Tanner, and David Biggs. These three fought it out to the end and after struggling on 14, 15, and 16 David got it together and pared 17 and 18 to hold off his two competitors. Mark finished in 2nd and Shawn 3rd. What a great battle.

Division 4 was a battle between brother Elijah and Jerry Price Jr along with Tim Driggers. Tim fought hard all day and only because of struggling on 17 and 18 lost the fight. Jerry and Elijah played great all the way to the end. Jerry did not waiver and held on for a two shot victory and a sold 80 on the day. Well done!

Division 5 saw Ricky Compton get off to a good start and lead all day. A strong 89 gave him a 6 shot lead over second place Patrick Shay and third place Paul Davis. Ricky was just too tough and had a great day.

We had 23 players take advantage of the Senior Double Dip Challenge. A separate tournament within the regular tournament for all players 50+. We paid out $575 in visa gift cards with all 5 Divisions participating.
