Dueces Are Wild Phoenix Results

The Phoenix APT and 28 competitors went head to head with the fantastic Talking Stick Resort & G.C this weekend in its first major of the year.

D1 winner Jason Vega in day one couldn't seem to find a fairway for most of the day but with great putting and short game, he managed to shoot a 75 giving him a four stroke lead going into day 2. Derrick Carver would come out in day 2 firing away trying to put some pressure on the leader with his amazing round of 69. Unfortunately Jason's 4 stroke lead was too much for Mr. Carver to close the gap as Jason shot a 1 over 72 to win by one! Great round Mr. Carver and CONGRATS Jason on your third APT victory.

D2

Although small in player size was not small to a great play by both Chad Henry and Chris Kiricoples, Mr. Kiricoples took a slight lead going into day 2 and continued to play solid enough golf to hold off the charging Chad Henry. The PHX APT wants to give a big thank you to Mr. Henry for stepping up to help us and another competitor in an unavoidable situation, Thanks Chad you’re a stand up guy and that just proves that The APT is building is more then just another amateur tour, we are all a big family!! CONGRATS Chris on your first APT VICTORY!!

D3
Once again Phoenix Chapter Owner junior london finds himself in a playoff after being 8 strokes back after day 1, with a sold 79 in day 2 to put all the pressure on day 1 leader Aaron Kent it came down to a playoff where Junior edged Aaron out on the first playoff hole! CONGRATS on your first win on the APT Junior!!

D4

Winner Guillermo Heredia started with a smooth 83 on day 1, late to the party but not out of reach Jeremy Conetah flies straight into Phoenix grabbed his clubs never warmed up and put up a cool 87 day 1. Guillermo had a 4 stroke lead going into day 2 with a field of chasers behind him, he started out a little slow on the front 9 throwing up a 47 to only tighten up and shoot 1 over on the back to seal his victory. CONGRATS GUILLERMO on your 3rd VICTORY and your promotion to D3.

D5

Donald Stadnicki came out on day one full of color and laughter as he hit a 61 yard drive to start the day, He got it figured out quickly as he put up a nice 90 in day one to take a one stroke lead over the field with Blane Freytag one stroke back. Donald turned around on day two and pulled away with a nice 86 to earn his first win on the Phoenix APT, CONGRATS DONALD on your VICTORY!!

The Phoenix APT wants to thank one the competitors for your support and coming out and playing a setup that was definitely tough, 2nd Mr. Chad Henry, he is a class act and is much appreciated for taking himself out of the element of tournament preparation to help a fellow competitor. Thank you all again for coming out and I can't say thank you enough to Chad for helping us, especially Jeremy out. I know Jeremy appreciated it as because it prevented him from having to WD. Thank you all at Nationals and the PHX APT hopes to see all of you June 5th at the private and absolutely stunning SEVEN CANYONS in SEDONA!!
