The weather in Brown Summit, NC was very challenging for golfers to come out and play Bryan Park Golf courses. The golf course was in very good shape. Looking forward to returning to this track in the future.
In Division 1 we had a very good round put up by Ivan Jones (69,73) =142(-2)
In Division 2 the leader after round 1 was Cj Beatty (79). The field was very tight going into Round 2 with several players within 4 shots. Pedro Montoya (72)E was strong enough in round 2 to capture victory. Seth Hawkins 76(+4) in round helped him secure solo 2nd place. The victory for Pedro Montoya has secured him 2022 Local Player of the Year and Senior Local Player of the Year.
In Division 3 there was our tightest battle throughout the tournament. The leader after round 1 is CLT Sean May (83). We have major points on the line for Local Player of the Year. In round 2 Trinity Manning was able to crawl back into the mix and take the victory. The win put Manning in the lead for LPOY ahead. Christy McCauley points locked up Senior Player of the year in Division 3!
In Division 4 we have Local Player of the year points leader Daniel Henris with a score of 80 leader after round 1. Henris was able to hold off Jason Upright and secure the win. The win also locked up Local Player of the year and Senior Local Player of the Year.
In Division 5 Ken Hansley is leading after his round of 87. Hansley round on Sunday was good enough to win by 5 shots in Division 5 and also won the Senior Division as well. The LOPY will go to Mike Charles!!
