Callippe Preserve Golf Course Results

Greetings APT Players,

A friendly field of 15 was on hand for the third event of the Amateur Players Tour Northern California Chapter held at Callippe Preserve in Pleasanton. Players at the start of the day were met with cool overcast conditions which transitioned into warm sunshine by the day’s end. In addition to our Division Champions, there were seven skin winners and two closest to the pin winners in the optional side game contests.

In Division 1, Ony Velez was our champion on the day with a 75 +3.  Ony was awarded a $100 gift card and crystal trophy! Ony has been a great competitor so far this season and improves his winning streak to three straight events. I wonder if Ony will put the streak on the line and make the trip south to La Qunita for the APT National Major at PGA West over Memorial Day weekend?

In Division 2, Arshad Khan was our champion on the day with a 79 +7.  Arshad played very well throughout the day and was never challenged by chapter owner Matt Fegley.  Arshad took home a $50 gift card and crystal trophy for his solid play!

In Division 3,  Rich Fong was our champion with an 88 +16. Rich lead by two over AJ Quintero after the first nine and played solid down the difficult back nine to secure the victory. Rich took home a $75 gift card and crystal trophy.

In Division 4, Don Harris was our champion with a 92 +20. Don jumped out to a six shot lead after the front nine and held on to a two shot victory over new member Tracy Castro. This is Don’s second straight win of the year.  Don took home $100 gift card and crystal trophy!

In Division 5, John Spradling was our champion with an 89 +17. John was down one to Felix Monjes after the front nine and played solid on the difficult back nine to secure his second straight win!  John took home $50 gift card and crystal trophy.
