Belle Meade Country Club welcomed Amateur Players Tour members and guests to Thomson, Georgia. As players arrived the was heavy fog which shortly subsided leading to sunny and favorable conditions. The course played softer than usual leading to some great scores in all five divisions including a $590 Super Skin!
In Division 1, Wren Fowler from Alpharetta, GA shot –2 (70) clipping Brian Quackenbush E (72) from Aiken, SC by two shots. This was Wren’s first tournament of the year and he took home the trophy. Congratulations Wren!
In Division 2 from Roswell, GA James Davis shot +6 (78) earning his second win of the year. William Boyd +8 (80) from North Augusta, SC finished runner up. Congratulations on a great win James!
In Division 3 from Waynesboro, GA Jerry Price Jr. +7 (79) wins in consecutive events. Devin Mitchem +13 (85) from Evans, GA takes home second place. Keep it going Jerry!
In Division 4 from Waynesboro, GA Elijah Price +15 (87) wins in the first playoff hole with a par over Michael Cioffi +15 (87) from Hephzibah, GA. This was Elijah’s second APT tournament and first APT win. Great win Elijah! Good luck in the Georgia High School Playoffs this week.
In Division 5 from Cottageville, SC Steven Reeves +15 (87) wins in the third playoff hole with a bogey over Caleb Price +15 (87) from Waynesboro, GA. This is Steven’s 5th win this year. Way to go Steven!
Brotherly Love - Jerry Price Jr., Caleb Price, and Elijah Price are three brothers with two out of the three taking home hardware. Caleb almost got his trophy as well by taking it to extra holes in falling short in the third playoff hole. Great tournament guys!
