We had 44 players come to Sapona Ridge CC. The players were invited with very chilly and windy day for weather in 50s. The greens were in fantastic shape and if you are in the Lexington area it is a must play.
In Division 1 Mark Macejko continues his steady play and was able to hold on for the victory with a score of 77(+6) to win by 1shot. In 2nd place John Massotti with a score 78(+7). Mark Macejko was also victorious in Senior Double Dip.
In Division 2 we had solid performance and back-to-back wins from Matthew Fegley with a score of 79(+8) to hold off for the victory by 2 shots. In 2nd place was Terry Upright with a score of 71(+10). The score by Coung Ton 83(+12) takes victory in senior double dip.
In Division 3 we had solid performance by Charles Devenney with a score of 81(+10) was good enough to be victorious by 1 shot and in true Double Dip fashion your senior winner as well. Jason Smith 82(+11) was 2nd place finisher for the event. Rounding out the top 3 is Marc Janse Van Rensburg 84(+13)
In Division 4 David Rosier secured the back-to-back victories over Bruce Shively and by 7 shots. However, Shively won Senior Double Dip with a score of 94(+23).
In Division 5 we had our only playoff of the day with a score of 98(+27) between Lance Blackshear and Keith Thomas. The playoffs headed to number 1 and the winner with bogey was Lance Blackshear!! Thomas and Blackshear will split the senior double dip victory.
