On a gorgeous Fall sunny day with temperatures in the mid 60’s 38 players from Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia teed it up at the Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Pottstown, PA on Sunday, November 5, 2024. The course conditions were fantastic, and the greens ran true.

In Division 1, 3 players competed from the tips playing at 6600 yards. Nicholas Politis, from the Maryland Chapter held off Dan Ayars and George Steinmetz for the win shooting a solid score of 78. Nicholas took home the trophy and $160 in Visa Gift cards.

Division 2 saw a sudden death playoff for first place. At first it looked like Rocky Dare had a lock on the win coming into the 18th hole holding a three-stroke lead. Unfortunately, Rocky carded a double on the last hole, opening the door for Jim Klock to close the gap. Jim rose to the occasion when he birdied the last hole resulting in a tie for first place and both players finished with a score of 79. Both players finished the first hole with pars. On the second Rocky prevailed with a solid par and the win. Rocky’s win gave him the trophy and $160 in Visa Gift cards.

Division 3 witnessed a see saw battle the entire day between tour veterans Jeff Grubb of the New Jersey Chapter battling it out with tour veteran Charlie Hertel with the Maryland Chapter. Jeff held a one-stroke lead at the turn with Charlie close on his heels. Charlie made his charge through the next 7 holes shooting pars and bogies compared to Jeff’s doubles and bogies. It all came down the last two holes with Jeff shooting a 1-over par compared to Charlie’s three-over par with Jeff winning by one-stroke shooting an 83 to Charlie’s 84. Jeff took home the trophy and $180 in Visa Gift Cards. For Charlie’s effort he received $95 in Visa Gift Cards.

In Division 4 Thomas DeYoung continued his winning ways shooting a solid 86 keeping him 3 strokes clear of Andrew Reptto and Robert Irwin who both shot identical scores of 89. Thomas took home the trophy and $160 in Visa Gift Cards. Andrew and Robert split the second-place prize money of $85.

Division 5 saw another familiar name at the top when Ted Harris bested Brian Fritzinger by two-strokes shooting a 98 compared to Brian’s score of 100. Ted took home the trophy and $160 in Visa Gift Cards. Brian pocketed $40 in Visa Gift Cards for his efforts.

In the Senior Net Division, it was a nail biter between Robert Irwin and Thomas DeYoung, but it was Robert’s net eagle on hole 15 that was the difference to give him a one-stroke win shooting a net score of 72 and his second win on the tour. Robert took home the trophy and $195 in Visa Gift Cards. Thomas added $80 to his Division 4 win. Three players split the 3rd place money of $50 shooting identical net scores of 75, they were Rocky Dare, Charlie Hertel, and Paul Taylor.

The winner of the Folds of Honor closest to the pin competition, sponsored by Momentum Hearing Aid Services was Rocky Dare. Rocky won $65 in cash and a $25 Sheetz gift card.

Multiple players shared the Division and Super Skin pot money amounting to $500.
