On the second day of our back-to-back local event tournaments at APT Las Vegas, hosted at the scenic Las Vegas Golf Course on Sunday, March 17th, players were greeted by vastly improved weather conditions compared to Saturday. With a gentle breeze and mostly overcast skies throughout the day, golfers enjoyed ideal playing conditions, with the sun breaking through towards the end, painting the course with its golden rays and providing a picturesque backdrop for the competition.
** Division 1 **
The battle at the top of the leaderboard between Josh Crossen and Kevin Brady resumed. This time, Crossen seized control, clinching the tournament victory with a commanding score of -4 [68], while Brady put up a valiant effort but finished with a solid +2 [74].
** Division 2 **
Division 2 witnessed a compelling showdown as Chase Burbank, trailing Thomas Sadorf and Matt Baiza at the turn, staged a remarkable comeback on the back nine. Burbank’s stellar performance earned him the divisional win with a score of +6 [78], securing a two-stroke victory over Sadorf, who finished with an +8 [80].
** Division 3 **
Darren Tolleson emerged victorious after a tightly contested battle, posting a score of +11 [83]. Brian Fiscus and Tyrese Patterson displayed commendable resilience but fell just short, finishing one stroke behind with scores of +12 [84].
** Division 4 **
Jeremy Conetah continued his dominance, once again emerging triumphant with a score of +12 [84], overcoming challenges from local players Mark Maniora and Michael Stein, who both finished at +17 [89].
** Division 5 **
Division 5 saw Michael Cruz claiming his second consecutive tournament win with a score of +13 [85], although Peter Rosen pushed him to the limit with an impressive score of +14 [86].
** Senior Net **
The Senior Net game provided intense competition, with Michael Stein, Hendra Wijaya, and Darren Tolleson locked in a three-way tie after 18 holes. After a thrilling playoff, Tolleson emerged victorious once again, adding another trophy to his collection on the day.
Overall, the second day of the APT Las Vegas tournaments showcased fierce competition and remarkable performances across all divisions, reaffirming the passion and skill of the participants in the vibrant world of golf.
