2023 Reunion CC Golf Tournament Results

The Amateur Players Tour-Atlanta Chapter hosted a members only limited field local event at Reunion Golf Club. A  sold-out field of forty players battled it out for a total prize pool of over $2000. The course was in fantastic shape and the weather held off just long enough for us to get the event completed without any concerns.   

In Division 1, TJ Elgin posted a -3 (69) to walk away from the field. TJ utilized 4 birdies and an eagle to best Tony Martinez by 4 stokes. TJ was awarded the trophy and $200 in prizes.  

Division 2 begins our theme of the day, which was playoffs. James Davis and Scott Davis (no relation) both cleared the rest of the field by two strokes with a pair of +4 (76).  James was able to utilize a birdie on the first playoff hole to secure the win.  James was awarded the trophy and $230 in prizes.   

Division 3 had three players that separated themselves from the pack. Nestor Santana, Shawn Powers, and Nick Murphy all shot +12 (84) to lead the pack.  However Nestor was able to remain steady when the playoff started and was able to secure the victory on the first playoff hole.  Nestor was awarded the trophy and $210 in prizes.  

Division 4 was another contest that had a clear front runner. Curtis Baugh triple boogied the first hole but was able to quickly right the ship and posted a +6 (78) to take a five-stroke victory over Steve Thomas. Curtis played extremely well and was rewarded by not only the victory but a promotion into Division 3. Curtis was awarded the trophy and $280 in prizes.  

Division 5 finished off the day with our third on course playoff. Doug Gibbs and Jimmy Lengyel both shot +27 (99) to clear the rest of the field by two stokes.  Jimmy was able to edge Doug out in the playoff allowing him to secure the win.  Jimmy was awarded the trophy and $155 in prizes.   

Next up for the Atlanta Chapter is a return trip to The Frog Golf Club on June 10, 2023.
