2023 Golf Club at the Highlands Tournament Results


39 Players competed at the Golf Club at the Highlands in Chesterfield on super fast greens and tight fairways.  In Division 1, Eric Paone, Jr held on with a Par on the Final Hole for a one shot victory over Shane Studer.  Chris Denz cruised to a 5 Shot victory in Division 2 over Mike Edwards.  Joe Renteria captured a one shot victory over Harry Jones and Charlie Hertel in Division 3. 

In Division 4, Chris Lusk captured a 2 shot victory over Willie Winfree.  Mario Zarate returned to the Winners Circle with a one shot victory over Maurice Murphy.  Mario Zarate also captured the Senior Net Title with a 3 shot victory over Jim Pritchett. 

Shane Studer captured 2 D1/2/3 Skins, while Chris Denz, Joe Renteria and Marco Zarate each captured one. 

AC Rendon captured 2 D4/D5 Skins, while Jason Lawson, George Ross, Mike Templeton and Scott Hillanbrand captured one. 

Super Skins were plentiful led by Shane Studer with 2.  Lawson, Ross, Templeton, Hillandbrand, Denz, Renteria and Zarate all had one each. 

Closest to Pin - #2 Anson Smith 8’0”    - #5 - Eric Paone – 8’2” 

#11 – Craig Crowley – 4’7”  #15 – Chuck Beech – 1’11” 

 

John’s 59th Birthday Bash is next on the Virginia Capital Schedule and our first event is Sunday, July 9th at Laurel Hill and on Monday, July 10th we will be at the exclusive Fawn Lake Country Club. 

The Second Super Regional Two Day of the Year is July 15th and 16th at Golden Horseshoe on both the Green and Gold Courses.  Don’t miss these two amazing courses.
