2023 Eagle Stick Golf Tournament Results

At EagleSticks Golf Club we had 26 golfers play a difficult and firm course that allowed for a few players to take advantage and post low scores.    

In Division 1 Matt Malone jumped out to an early lead after 3 birdies on the front and shooting 35.  Matt would come home in 35 with 2 more birdies for an Even Par round of 70.  Aidan Allen would post 2nd with 37,43 for 80.  

In Division 2 Ryan Auck and James Pearce battled on the front with James holding a 1 shot lead at the turn after shooting 38 to Ryan’s 39.  Ryan would then post two birdies and 7 pars to shoot 33 on the back for a 72 and the victory.  James Pearce would come in 2nd with 79 (38,41). 

In Division 3 there was a good three-way battle between Payton Owens, Mike Paubel, and Rick Williamson throughout the day.  Rick would hold the lead on the front with a 38 but Payton Owens battled back shooting 40 on the front and then 38 on the back to hold on to a 1 shot victory with 78.  Mike Paubel shot 79 (41,38) for 2nd.  Rick Williamson placed 3rd with 80 (38,42).  

In Division 4 Chris Berry battled back after a slow start of 44 on the front with an impressive 36 on the back.  Chris’s round was highlighted by 3 birdies, 2 of which came on the back.  Chris’s 80 was good enough for a 3 shot victory.  Robert Lawless came in 2nd with 83 (38,45). 

In Division 5 Steve Smith started steady with a 42 on the front and then caught fire on the back nine with 6 pars to post a 38 and a winning score of 80.  Todd Owens in his first event shot 84 for 2nd place.  Both Steve and Todd would finish 1st and 2nd in Senior Net as well.
