2024 Arkansas Local Finals was one for the record books! We had beautiful weather and an amazing group of members who came out and battled it out one last time to try and capture the title Local Player of the Year. Greystone Country Club was in great shape to test everyone’s skills!
Division 2:
Kendall Price would sleep on a 11-shot lead after day one over Elisha Payne and LR Gardner. On Day two Kendall Price would increase the lead to capture the win posting a two-day total of 167. LR Gardner would take second place posing a two-day total of 180. Elisha Payne would finish in third place with a two-day total of 187.
Division 3:
Bruce Upton would take a big lead after day one and go on to close out the local finals with a win. Bruce would finish in first place after posting a two-day total of 169. James Borzone would finish in second place after posting a two-day total of 178. Brian Buchanan would finish in third place after posting a two-day total of 184.
Division 4:
Steven Puska would lead the field after day one. The entire field would Try to chisel away at his lead on day two. After two days of golf Steven Puska and Jeff Corder would find themselves in a playoff for the W. Steven and Jeff play hole one and Steven would make a par to seal the deal and take home the win. Jeff would finish in second place after matching Steven’s two-day total score of 191. Larry Burrow would finish in third place after posting a two-day total of 195.
Division 5:
After day one Thomas Bartole would have a five-shot lead over Ken North, as the whole field was chasing Thomas on day two it would be Jim Haslauer who would make a nine shot comeback to capture the win. Jim posted a two-day total of 201.
Thomas Bartole would finish in second place after posting a two-day total of 208. Chad Hatfield would finish in third place posting a two-day total of 211.
Senior net:
Bruce Upton would win the Senior net after posting a two-day net score of 159. Brian Buchanan would finish in second place posting a two-day net score of 164. Thomas Bartole and Jim Haslauer would tie for third place, both posting a two-day net score of 166.
