Winghaven Country Club Golf Tournament Results

[read_time]

Last week, the Amateur Players Tour converged on the Jack Nicklaus designed WingHaven Country Club, with a sold out field of 160 players competing on one of St. Louis’ premier championship courses.  This would be the first combined event for both the open and senior tours, with seniors having the option to “double-dip” and play in both tournaments at the same time.

In Division 1, Blake Heimburger continued his hot start to the season, shooting a even-par 72 in tough conditions to earn his first victory of the 2022 season.  Memphis’ Ed McDugle made the drive up to win the Senior Division with a 74, and finish in 2nd place two shots ahead of Steve Hasenfratz, whose 76 was good enough for 3rd in the open division and 2nd in the senior division.  John Todd shot 77 to finish in 4th position.

In the senior division, Billy Davis followed up his win at Tamarack Country Club with another win, shooting a 4-over par 76 to edge out Mark Lamoureux by two strokes.  Matthew Nemnich finished in 3rd position with an 81, while Darrell VankyGrifka finished in 4th with an 82.
