Warrior’s Path Golf Tournament Results

On Saturday, the Tri-Cities/Southwest Virginia chapter had our tour stop at The Warrior Path State Park Golf. A buzz was in the air as players anxiously awaited getting the  tournament underway, earning valuable points towards qualifying for the inaugural North American Championship at Pinehurst Resorts in October. A competitive field faced sunny and warm conditions, but a golf course that was in excellent shape.

In Division 1, Anthony Stout played solid all day for +2 over par 74.  

In Division 2, Todd Holmes played a spectacular round at even par 72. Jason Greenwell had a stellar round at +3 over par 75. Newcomer Mitch Ellison had a solid day at +14 over par 86.

In Division 3, First time tour winner of 2021 Rodney Oden played solid finishing at +9 over par 81. Newcomer Shawn Wright had a solid round at +16 over par 88.

In Division 4, Samuel Miller continued his solid play firing a +9 over par 81. Troy Holmes finished 1 shot back with a solid round of +10 over par 82. Rob Luffman continued to climb the board with a solid day at+15 over par 87. Newcomer Willy Jones competed in his first event and played solid at +17 over par 89.

In Division 5, First time tour winner Blake Fleenor pulled off the victory with a +29 over par 101. Scott Larcher was the runner up with a close finish at +32 over par 104. Ray Wilson had the early lead but the heat took its toll on him but he ended up at +33 over par 105.

From here, the APT moves to Ridgefields Country Club on September 11, 2021. We look forward to seeing everyone for another exciting APT tournament and another chance to earn valuable points in our local Player of the Year race.
