51 players came together for the first Memphis Mid south chapter event at Timber Truss Golf Course. We were excited to see a lot of new faces at this inaugural tournament.
D1 winner Alex Snyder posted a 1 under 71 to win his first ever Amateur Players Tour event. Another newcomer to the Memphis group Josh Caldwell hung in there at +2 to take second Place.
In D2 Jeff Avant barely edges out Fidel Diaz by 1 stroke. The two were neck and neck all day. David Foshee was our only senior winner for the tournament in D3. He won by 4 strokes over second Place Keith Smith.
If Jeff Avant's win wasn't enough he invited our winner in D4 Brent Stone to the tour and in a flight that saw the top 5 only separated by 2 strokes Brent takes home the trophy with an 84 only 1 stroke ahead of second Place Ken Pieczonka.
D5 saw a number of lead changes throughout the day. In the end Vince Vaghela and Jason Bucher take it to the 1st hole for a playoff. In the end Jason wins on the first playoff hole to take his first stroke play tournament win.
Congrats to all winners and competitors! The turnout in membership and at Timber Truss reflects the fact that you have all been talkin up the tour and we could not appreciate you any more.
