Virginia Capital's first 2 Day Super Regional was contested over two days at Rock Harbor GC in Winchester, Virginia. Rock Harbor provides a unique 36 Hole Design with a tough test and fast greens on both 18s.
There were 20 different golfers out of the field of 27 that landed a Skin or Super Skin this weekend. Some were won with pars with some treacherous pin placements on the hilly course.
Tim Robinson came the closest of cashing a check on Closest to the Pin on Hole 8 on the Boulder Course on Saturday. He was a mere 6 inches or less away.
3 Philadelphia Metro golfers and 1 Charlotte Chapter players joined the field for the weekend and we hope to see them again soon.
In Division 1 Kraig Roberts took home the title while in D2 Arabinda Behura of Philly Metro took a 3 shot victory over Chris Denz. Chris had the low round on Sunday with a 76.
In D3 Justin Millsap picked up his first victory of the year with a 3 shot victory over Michael Boissiere and Charles Hertel. In D4, David Neder of the Philly Metro Chapter captured a 3 shot victory over Barry Neun.
Brian Braithwaite took a 5 shot victory over Tom Holecek in D5 but Tom managed to pull out a 1 Shot Victory in Senior Net over Chris Denz with a Net 67 on Sunday.
Virginia Capital has a busy July with 4 events on the stretch run to the Berths to Pinehurst. Our next event is July 10th at Stonewall followed by July 18th at Potomac Shores.
