Oxford Country Club Golf Results

In his first tournament since being promoted to Division 1, Ronnie Fowler came out hot and only gave up 2 strokes to par on the front nine on the rolling hills of The Country Club of Oxford. Nick Fogleman was in 2nd at the turn only 3 strokes back. In the end Nick couldn’t reel him in as they both post 38 on the back nine. Congratulations to Ronnie on his first D1 win. 

Division 2 had senior Tommy Warren playing lights out early at 2 under through the first 5 holes. On the other side Russell Cook on his home course struggled early and found himself 7 strokes down after 5 holes.  On the back Russell turned his game around and played at 1 over par but he spotted Tommy too many strokes early to be able to run him down. Tommy stayed consistent throughout the round and finished at just 1 over 73.

Division 3’s newcomer to the APT, Russ Brasel set the tone for his round on the front 9 with a 38 making the turn with a 5-stroke lead over Brent Stone. On the back nine he held the lead all the way posting an 80 for a 6-stroke lead over 2nd place Brent. 

Richard Ward and Andy Gregory had a great battle on the course in Division 4. They were neck and neck most of the round but in the end, Richard pulls off the win with an 83 to better Andys score by 3. 

In Division 5, a couple of new members to the APT, Paul Andress and Randy Tatum fought to see who would get their first win. At the turn, Randy had a 5-stroke lead and Paul began the chase. Paul cut Randy’s lead to 2 strokes but ran out of holes.  Randy’s 98 was enough for the win.
