Hickory Point Golf Course Tournament Results
The Amateur Players tour visited Hickory Point GC, host of Symetra Tour’s Forsyth Classic on Sunday with 24 players teeing it up in difficult conditions.
In Division 1 Matt Minder took a one shot lead into the final hole only to make double to fall into a playoff with Van Phillips. After a 4 hole playoff Van Phillips came away with the victory.
In Division 2 Scott Horton took home a five shot victory while shooting 76 for the low score of the day.
In Division 3 Ken Schmas had a one shot lead over Jordan Schreiber going into 18 and closed strong with a birdie to win by 2.
In Division 4 Rick Johnson dominated the field with a 7 shot victory over the field. With Steve Minder coming in second with a 92.
Division 5 turned into a head to head battle between the victor Les Mays and Tracy Behrle. Les took a 5 shot lead into the back nine, Tracy was able to cut the lead to 2 but Les’s solid play down the stretch gave him the victory.
