Carolina Triad Forest Oak CC welcomed 62 players to where the PGA tour held the GGO/Wyndam Championship for many years. The day started with brisk temperatures and a steady breeze in Greensboro,NC.
In Division 1 from Kentucky Eric King shot an impressive -1(71) in the tough conditions. Congratulations Eric way to grab a huge win 18 players in Division 1 huge points this week. Finishing 2nd from Charlotte Wally Love shot E(72) and 3rd place with a score of +2(74) Kyle Moffett Carolina Triad member.
In Division 2 Johnny Moffett shows his son(Kyle M) how to finish the job with a +5(77) victory over 2nd place Gerald Lewis. Lewis finished with +6(78) coming up short for the second tourney in a row but picking up early points. Rounding out top 3 Micheal Martin from Carolina East shot +8(80)
In Division 3 Brad Swofford takes the victory by comfortable cushion of 3 shots with a +8(80) over Brandon Halsey. Halsey from Charlotte has gotten off to great start following up his Tobacco Rd win with a solid 2nd this week. Rounding out the top 3 Anthony Stephenson shoots a +13(85).
In Division 4 we had our only on the course playoff between Royal Mckenney and Curtis Faison. Both players finished up at +15(87). The two headed back to the course and it took 2 holes to decide a winner. Royal Mckenney edged out Curtis on 18th hole to take the victory. Well played gentlemen!!
In Division 5 Christy McCauley continues her stellar play by winning her second APT event in a row. She shot +19(91) to edge out Garland Amick by 5 shots.
