The Charlotte Tour head North to Hickory NC to due battle on a course that many of us had not seen in a few years. Boy was it impressive. With the rain that we had over the weekend, the course was in fantastic shape and the scoring showed.
In Division 1 George Harris comes back home to a course that he grew up on and had once had the course record. After 18 holes George and Greg Moore (Upstate) had tied for the lead at 74 (+2) and returned to hole 18 for a sudden death playoff. It only took 1 hole to crown George the victor again. George also took home 1st in the senior Double Dip portion of the event for Division 1.

In Division 2, Bill Phillips made it look easy and with a +2 round of 74 took home top honors as well as claiming the Senior honors as well. Second place goes to Josh Johnston who continues his strong play of later and is getting closer to his first victory shooting 76 (+4), only two shots back.

In Division it was another Phillips, Tyle in this case to claim victory shooting a great round of 80 (+8). Second place went to Herb White with 83 (+11). Herb also takes the Senior 1st place honors in the Double Dip portion of the event.

In Division 4, Kevin Lepage breaks out after turning 60 a few weeks earlier. As they say some things getter better with age, and maybe Kevin is out to prove that. His round of 84 (+12) was 2 shots better than runner up, Jimmy Sullivan (Upstate). Kevin also claims the victory in the senior portion of the event as well.

In Division 5 Charles Dixon take homes 1st place honors with a round of 87 (+15). With this round, Charles’ new index now puts him into D4. Congratulations and continued success as you move up the ladder.
