42 players teed it up at the historic Burlington Golf Club, where the fairways were lush, and the greens rolled true. Aside from the windy conditions we could not have asked for a better day in March to kick off the Iowa season opener. In division 1 Kacie Broeg finished at even par for the day to take his first APT victory of the 2021 season. Broeg was +1 heading into 18 where he finished with a birdie to closeout his round at even par. Division 2 had Kevin Boltz leading the field from start to finish with an impressive 79 on the day. Boltz finished with a 4-stroke lead over second place which was settled by a scorecard playoff resulting in Dave Brown capturing the 2nd place finish. Division Three was a walk in the park for Justin Blake shooting a 79 to give him a 6-shot lead over Scott Riley 85 to win his first APT event of the young 2021 season. Division 4 was won by Nathan Simler 90 of the Kanas City Chapter after finishing with a 5-stroke lead over Bob Morgan 95 for the win. Division 5 was closely contested with Mitchell Gustin 100 holding on by 1 stroke over David Oetken 101 for the win.
