On Saturday, the Virginia Capital Chapter of the Amateur Players Tour held its 2nd event of the 2022 Season at Bristow Manor Golf Club in Bristow, VA. The Easter Open had a field of 58 Players in 5 flights competing for $1450 Prize Pool and $1160 in Side Pots.
Dave Dustin secured his first win of the 2022 season in Division 1, with a one shot victory over two-time winner Chris Lamb with a birdie on #2 being the margin of victory. Aubrey Evans finished 3rd two shots back.
In Division 2, Maryland Chapter Owner, Dave Baca secured a two shot victory over fellow Marylander Alex Hur. Bill Marlowe finished 4 shots behind for third and Ken Jones finishing 6 shots off the pace to cash in 4th Place.
Joe Renteria continued his stellar play with his second victory of the 2022 season with an 81 to capture D3 by 5 shots over Fred Levine. Thomas Hundley and Dave Reichart also finished in the money by tieing for 3rd with 87s.
In Division 4, Brian Browning has continued his winning ways with his second victory of the season by shooting an 84 and a 4 shot victory over Chuck Nimmo.
Defending D5 Virginia Capital Player of the Year, Jose Guerra, won his second event in a row with a 5-Shot victory over Steve Fulks. Brian Ellis and Joshua Alderman finished tied for 3rd with 105s.
Joe Renteria also captured the Senior Net Division with an even Par Net 72. Chuck Nimmo finished 2nd at +1. Fred Levine, Craig Crowley and Dave Reichert all cashed in a 3-way tie ford 3rd.

Maryland hosts the next event on April 24th at Oak Creek Club in Upper Marlboro, MD, followed by the National Event at Rocky Gap Resort on April 29th, with the National Major on April 30-May 1 at Omni Bedford Springs in Bedford, PA.
