It was a gorgeous Monday afternoon with temperatures climbing into the low 80’s and a modest breeze blowing through the trees, the sellout event of 95 players battled it out at the private club just north of Charlotte.
In Division 1, We had a field of 23 golfers and a purse of $690. Kyle Moffett (Triad) shot an impressive 73, securing the top spot. Ivan Jones (Triad) and Jerell Fields (CLT) were close contenders, both finishing with a score of 74. Todd Mavis (CLT) finished with a score of 77, rounding out the top four in the competition.
On the Senior Side, Todd Mavis with his score of 77 takes home 1st place honors on the senior side.

In Division 2 a field of 25 players and a purse of $750 up for grabs. Bill Phillips (CLT) performed well with a score of 78, securing the top spot. Mac McMillan (Triad) followed closely with a score of 79. Tony Mangini (CLT) finished with a score of 81, while Cuong Ton (Triad), Terry Newsome (Triad), Tyler Phillips (CLT), Chase Brown (CLT) and John Jarrell (CLT) all tied with scores of 82.
In Senior Division 2, Bill Phillips (CLT) took the top spot with a score of 78, and Cuong Ton and Terry Newsome both had scores of 82, making it a close competition in the senior category.

In Division 3, 24 players competed for a purse of $720, Joseph Jones (CLT) claims victory with a score of 78. Josh Lemmond (CLT) shared second position with Marc Janse Vanse Rensburg (CLT) finishing with scores of 81. Joe Cannatti (CLT) completed the top four with a score of 85.
In Senior Division 3, Joe Cannatti (CLT) held the top spot with a score of 85, and Rob Andrews (Triad) finished closely behind with a score of 86.

In Division 4 of the contest, where 16 players competed for a purse of $480, Ronnie Thornton (CLT) emerged as the winner with a score of 91. Tommy Gibson (CLT) secured the second position with a score of 92, and Jonathon Proffitt (CLT) finished in third place with a score of 97.
On the Senior Side, it was a true Double Dip as Ronnie took home first and Tommy claimed second.

In Division 5 we had a small field of 7 on this day. Doug Willie (CLT) our reigning Division 5 champion starts the 24 season off on the right foot with a victory shooting 101. Bill Gillette (CLT) takes second with a score of 102.
On the Senior Side, Doug also claims the victory to make it a true double dip.

50/50 Raffle to benefit Fold of Honor
Thanks to all players who purchased their 50/50 tickets to support our Charity of Choice, Fold of Honor.
We sold $350 worth of tickets, and the lucky winner was Vic Lawrence taking home $175.
This starts our fund raising for the 24 season. The Charlotte Chapter raised over $3000 in 23 and we are off to a great start for 24.
