The course’s excellent condition earned high praise from the competitors, enhancing the day’s challenging play.

In Division 1, Shane Thompson claimed victory in a dramatic playoff, securing the win with a par on the second playoff hole against Caden Carr. This intense head-to-head battle was a fitting end to the competitive day in the top division.

Division 2 saw Colton Kool emerge as the champion with a score of 75, narrowly outpacing Dan Punkay and Mitch Myers, who both carded a 76. Kool’s precision and consistency were crucial in his one-stroke victory.

Jacob McEvers triumphed in Division 3 with an 81, overcoming Greg Mitchell and Chris Whitley, who each finished with an 83. McEvers’ performance was notable for its steadiness and strategic play throughout the round.

Tim Hill clinched a narrow victory in Division 4, scoring an impressive 85, one of the best of the season for his division. He edged out Pryce Punkay by just one stroke in a tightly contested match.

Division 5 featured another playoff, where Scott Morrow and Myron Schroeder both shot 96. Morrow won on the first playoff hole, adding to the day’s series of dramatic conclusions.

Mark Lamoureux captured the Senior net division title, while Travis Bosler won the Closest to the Pin contest, both adding to the day’s excitement.

With a successful tournament completed at Ironwood, the tour now takes a break, gearing up for the highly anticipated elevated event on June 16 at Atkins Golf Club, home of the University of Illinois. This next event promises to be a highlight of the season, attracting keen interest from players and fans alike.
