2023 Whitestone Golf Tournament Results

We had a slight frost delay for our 9:00 am event at White Stone but after the great planning job by the clubhouse staff, we began the day only 20 minutes behind schedule.

We had 3 guests and 7 Member guests competing with us this Sunday. We’re looking forward to our next event at Rockwood and counting on warmer weather.

Winner – Division 1: Clayton Smith (74)

New member, Clayton Smith again won with a 3-stroke lead finishing with a 74. Our long-time member, Andrew Morsinkhoff brought in a score of 77 to claim 2nd place while Brad Branch came in just behind him with a 78 for 3rd place.

Winner – Division 2: Chris Force (75)

Red River guest, Chris Force came in 1st place finishing his round with a 75. In 2nd place was Raymond Dawson with an 84 and a tie for 3rd between Red River’s Jalil Daneshfar and our own Matt Jones both carding an 87.

Winner – Division 3: Paul McGee (82)

Paul McGee and James Corujo were fighting to the end for who will take 1st place. James was leading at the turn and Paul had a great back 9 to finish with a 1-stroke lead taking 1st place. James took 2nd with an 83 while Gabriel Knight and Randy Sitz tied for 3rd with a score of 86.

Winner – Division 4: Adam Wright (99)

We had a sudden death playoff between Adam Wright and Red River member, Rick Swanson. The first hole, Adam tapped in for bogey and Rick missed a lengthy par putt that would have won, he tapped in for bogey to push to the next hole. This lasted another hole with bogeys to proceed to the 3rd hole where Adam won with another bogey. Tied for 3rd place was Paul Turner and Carlos Chavez with a 100.

Winner – Division 5: Tommy Chang (91)

Long time member, Tommy Chang had a great day and came in with a 9 stroke lead scoring a 91. There was a 3-way tie for 2nd between JD Danilowicz, Michael Becker, and Todd Rebello all with a score of 100.

Winner – Senior Net – Paul McGee

We had 13 players in the Senior Net today. Paul McGee took 1st place with a net score of 74. Red River guest, Randy Sitz came in 2nd place with a 78 and just behind him was a tie for 3rd with Raymond Dawson and  Donnie Penney with a net score of 79.

Guest player, Micah Collis had a hole-in-one on hole 11. Although he was not in the winner’s circle for the APT awards, we did give him a commemorative APT mug to take home. Micah has now joined the DFW Chapter and the Hole-In-One Club for next time.

Our quickest finish was 4 Hrs. 29 Mins.  with an average round today of 5 hrs. 14 Mins.
