2023 Cedar Crest Golf Tournament Results

Ninety-nine players converged at Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro to play and compete for prizes totaling over $5,300.  Five competitive mid-am divisions, along with a Senior Net division, provided back-and-forth competition all round and we were able to beat the heavy downpours that blew through the course shortly after the tournament concluded. 

In Division 1, Memphis Chapter member, Luke Smith from Covington posted 3 birdies and scored a four-stroke victory with his one-under total of 71. Jordan Craighead from Carthage and Justin Lee from Lebanon finish in a tie for 2nd place, both posting three-over rounds of 75. 

In Division 2, Tom Foster from Murfreesboro scored his lowest round on the APT with an even par round of 72 and took home the victory by two strokes. Malcolm Miles from Clarksville finished with a two-over round of 74 to take 2nd place. Lenny Beachy from Hendersonville and Thatcher Green from Franklin finished in a tie for 3rd place with rounds of four-over 76. 

In Division 3, Trip Crawford from Nolensville scores a two-stroke victory with his round of five-over 77. Marcel Sow and Colm Murphy, both from Murfreesboro, finish in a tie for 2nd place and posting rounds of seven-over 79. Kirk Rose from Nashville takes 4th place with his round of eight-over 80. 

In Division 4, Cody Ray from Lafayette takes home the trophy by one stroke with his round of twelve-over 84. In a tie for 2nd place was Olumide Akingbemi from Nashville and Nashville Chapter co-owner, Joe Smolira.  Both shot rounds of 85. 

In Division 5, Jamal Browning from Antioch garners his first victory on the APT with a three-stroke win. Browning posted fifteen-over round of 87. Will Hackett from Nashville claims 2nd place with his round of 90.  In a 3rd place tie were James Rowe from Columbia and Jimmy Murphy from Charlotte. Both players posted 91.  

In Senior Net, Nashville Chapter Co-owners battled it out for 1st and 2nd place. Joe Smolira capitalized on his 2nd place finish in Division 4 to post a net score of two-under 70 to beat out Chris Guthrie and his net score of even par 72. Keith Parrish from Fairview finishes in 3rd place with a net score of two-over 74.
