Join us for the 2023 North American Championship in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this September. Contested from Friday, September 22nd - Sunday, September 24th on five different courses in the Myrtle Beach area, players will be competing to be crowned "North American Champion." The final round will be contested at TPC Myrtle Beach, where players will trying to earn a piece of our record-setting prize pool paid out exclusively in VISA Gift Cards!
NEW - Seniors 50+ as of September 22nd, 2023 are eligible to "double-dip" and play in two tournaments in one and be eligible for both prize pools!
NEW - Players who register by August 7th will receive a $50 early registration discount!

TPC Myrtle Beach
Murrels Inlet, SCTPC Myrtle Beach was once host to the Senior PGA Tour Championship, won by Hall-of-Famer Tom Watson, and it remains the only Myrtle Beach golf course in the Grand Strand area ever to be awarded 5 stars by Golf Digest magazine. The prestige of the Tournament Players Club brand means that golfers can expect an exceptional experience.

Myrtle Beach, SCFrom the moment “The King,” Arnold Palmer, and his team designed Myrtle Beach National’s trio of layouts, the property has been one of the the area’s most important facilities. Beginning in 1973 with King’s North, MBN opened new courses for three consecutive years, concluding with SouthCreek in 1975.
Home to a full service clubhouse, a large driving range and a pair or practice putting greens, Myrtle Beach National is an ideal property to anchor a golf trip.

Myrtle Beach National - Kings North
Myrtle Beach, SCKing’s North is one of three acclaimed courses at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club, located just a few miles inland from central Myrtle Beach off of Highway 501 and very much in the center of the Grand Strand. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the current iteration of the course opened in 1996 after extensive renovations and was immediately recognized for its high quality of design, with a number of iconic and challenging holes.

Palmetto at Myrtlewood Golf Club
Myrtle Beach, SCMyrtlewood’s Palmetto Course was the first in Myrtle Beach to play along the Intracoastal Waterway, as architect Edmund Alt fused the area’s coastal beauty with his memorable design. The par 4 18th, which plays along the waterway from tee to green, is one of the area’s most recognizable challenges 50 years after the course’s opening, but Palmetto’s popularity is about much more than its beauty. The course, which is better than ever following a recent greens and bunker renovation project, is one golfers relish the opportunity to play every year and you will too.

Wild Wing
Conway, SCHome to 27 holes, Wild Wing has long been one of the Myrtle Beach area’s most popular properties. A Jeff Brauer-Larry Nelson design, the Avocet Course is at the heart of Wild Wing’s appeal, challenging players with a design that is as fun to play as it is creative.
After a challenging game of golf, many members and visitors choose to visit the 10,000 square-foot Mediterranean-styled clubhouse which includes a full-service golf shop, lockers for men and women, a private dining room, large dining area and an outside veranda that overlooks the 9th and 18th greens of the grande golf course.

Championship Qualification
The North American Championship will be open to all Members that want to play. However, space will be limited and entries will be granted based on the following priority:
A-1. Winner of North American Championship/Senior North American Championship (last 10 years)
A-2. Winner of National Player of the Year/Senior National Player of the Year (last 5 years)
A-3. Winner of National Major (last 2 years)
A-4. 2023 Season Top 100 in National Player of the Year Races as of June 30th, 2023
A-5. 2023 Season Top 50 in Senior National Player of the Year Races as of June 30th, 2023.
A-6. Winner of Previous Year Local Player of the Year
A-7. Top 4/5/6 in Local Player of the Year Race as of June 30th, 2023*
A-8. Local Chapter Owners
*NOTE – Please note Chapter Tiers for Priority Exemptions Above. Please reference the APT Member Manual for more information.
Registration will open for priority status on July 1st, 2023 and will run through July 31st, 2023. For those with priority status, you must register before July 31st, 2023 to save your spot. You will be notified via email on or before July 1st with your invite to register. A wait list will be started with open registration and filled on a first come, first serve basis to complete the field at the conclusion of each chapter’s local finals.
