The Nashville Amateur Players Tour closed out its first season at the top public golf course in Tennessee, Greystone Golf Club. Players competed over two days for trophies and gift cards, but also to make one last push to become the first-ever Division Player of the Year for the Nashville chapter.
In Division Two, Cary Anderson posted the lowest round of the tournament for any division in round 1 (71) to take a commanding lead and never looked back. He would go on to win by eight strokes. Tom Foster was able to battle back on day 2 and moved up four places to capture 2nd place.
In Division 3, Kevin Smith trailed by two strokes behind Jerry Drewry heading in to the last round. That deficit was erased quickly as Kevin posted 75 which is tied for his best round on any amateur tour. Kevin took the title by six strokes over Drewry and Mike Penn. Penn posted his low round of the weekend on Sunday (78) which moved him up five spots into a tie with Jerry. He takes home the 2nd place gift card in a scorecard playoff (last 18 holes).
