Nob North Results

34 players dodged showers and storms throughout the day but managed to finish with 0 delays at the Nob North Golf Course on Saturday. The wet conditions did anything but seperate the field in all divisons as we had 3 of the 5 divisions ending in a playoff. The 2 divisions that did not need extra holes, the margin of victory was 1 stroke.

Div 1-Tim Sauders racked up 6 birdies in route to a 3 under par 69 and a 1 stroke victory over Matt Crowder.

Div 2- 18 holes were not enough to settle Division 2. Blake Benson and Mike Wilkins both used sizzling front 9s to shot a pair of 76s. Benson prevailed on the first playoff hole to take home his 1st victory of the 2021 season.

Div 3- It was a 3 player race to the finish in Divison 3. Tony Ellis, Randy Redden, and Chris Beeler all shot sub 40 front 9s to break away from the rest of the field. As conditions toughened on the back 9, it was Ellis who held on to capture his 2nd victory in a row with a 9 over, 81. Redden and Beeler tied for 2nd, one shot back.

Div 4- It took extra holes to determine a winner in Divison 4. Crossville TN's David England made his 2021 debut in style capturing the victory over Jason Anderson. Both players shot solid 87s to earn a spot in the playoff.

Div 5- Like Divsion 3, Division 5 saw a repeat winner as Ronnie Bennett scored his 2nd victory of the 2021 season. It wasn't easy, as Daniel England matched Bennett's 43 on the front and 2 never seperated by more than a shot on back. After 18 holes, Bennett and England were tied at 16 over par which led to our 3rd playoff of the day! It was Bennett who ended up the victor as won the 1st playoff hole.
